Track Interpretation
Track Interpretation is the Art and Science of learning to read the story through the tracks left upon the earth at a given moment in time . For me, this is the most exciting part of tracking.
First we will immerse ourselves in the patters of tracks that are the baseline behavior for many of the animals we will be tracking through out this weekend. Once we pattern upon baseline, we will soon discover subtle stories that will begin to jump out for us as each animal responds to its environment.
This class will take place along the Columbia River where the low tide sand is endless, multiple species of mammals are present and the Eagles and Osprey are guaranteed to entertain us.
